Campus traffic patterns and parking lot availability are dynamic during Commencement weekend – follow posted signs and directions from event staff when parking. A valid UCSB permit is required to park on ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ.
Traveling South on the U.S. 101 Freeway
Take the Storke Road/Glen Annie Road exit off U.S. 101 approximately 12 miles north of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ.
Turn right on Storke Road and proceed two miles to El Colegio Road.
Turn left on El Colegio Road and proceed to the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ entrance.
Follow Commencement parking signs to available parking.
Traveling North on the U.S. 101 Freeway
Take the Airport/UCSB exit [Highway 217] off U.S. 101 to the ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ entrance approximately eight miles north of ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ.
Follow Commencement parking signs to available parking.
Parking
A valid UCSB permit is required to park on ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ. Graduates will receive a parking code in their Commencement confirmation email to register their guest's vehicle. Pre-registration does not guarantee an on-¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ parking spot. Parking permits are electronic and require the license plate number for registration. Parking will be impacted and limited, please make arrangements to carpool. We ask you to follow the signs and park in designated areas as directed by the event staff.
PLEASE NOTE: When driving to ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ, traffic may be impacted by Highway 217 construction. Please consider using alternate routes and allow extra time.
For planning purposes please allow 60 minutes to enter and exit ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ.
Shuttles are available to transport guests to the Commencement site from Commencement parking areas. For ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ MTD bus schedule to ¾Ã¾ÃÈÈÊÓÆµ, contact (805) 963-3366.
Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Parking is not immediately adjacent to the Commencement gates and a 1/4 to 3/4 mile walk may be required if space on the shuttles is not available.
Commencement guests displaying an officially issued disabled placard or license plate should follow the blue signs to accessible parking.
